Our Aquatics Division

As of September 2025, Coming Back Home Rescue has expanded the organization to assist the unusual friends in need; fish, amphibians, and some reptiles. Turning a family hobby, into a passion for rescue. We want our supporters to understand that each branch of Coming Back Home Rescue doesn't steer us from the meaning of our rescue - saving lives off death row as many aquatics find themselves in similar positions.

Every animal coming into the Aquatics Division are put into quarantine, given a deworming treatment and observed before being placed into community tanks or other suitable tanks. At this time, our tanks are;
30 Gallon Community Small Freshwater

10(2) Gallon Medical Bays

5 Gallon Fry Observatory

55 Gallon Coldwater Freshwater

Occasionally, "temporary" tanks will be set up to meet the needs of certain fish, reptiles, or other aquatics. We are not doing saltwater at this time, or "monster-sized fish".

Intakes happen in a multitude of ways - surrender, LPS/LFS transfers, and wild rescue. We have officially partnered up with some of our local pet stores (Pet Supplies Plus, Petco, etc) to have fish in need to be transferred into the rescue while also providing education for improved care. These include sick and stressed fish that need proper arrangements to help them thrive in a more suitable environment. In addition, we will take in a limited amount of owner surrenders. When sick aquatics are brought in, we can never guarantee a 100% live outcome as medical/vet care is limited but do our best to get them healthy to be ready for adoption.

**Pricing varies per species.

Adoptable Aquatics

Most of our adoptable aquatics and reptiles can found on Petfinder, and occasionally, down below of our longest residents. When inquiring about our animals, you'll be asked some questions to ensure your setup is ready for your new friend. Don't worry, a fence isn't required but we do want to make sure your tank is big enough, properly cycled, and ready. Always be sure to do your research!
